The Waste4Warmth R&D hub is moving to Gaziantep University’s Tekno Park. Waste4Warmth project partner Field Ready has moved to a new location in Gaziantep and are excited to be a part of Tekno Park.
Field Ready and Gaziantep Teknopark are working together to establish a research and development center for entrepreneurship and innovative programs.
Field Ready and Gaziantep Teknopark share the same vision:
To improve opportunities for entrepreneurs and help rebuild the local economy.
Establishing a makerspace in the facility provided by Teknopark can help:
Improve entrepreneurial capacity
Enhance social integration within the community between refugees and host community
Support participants to enter the business market
Help entrepreneurs integrate with and benefit from the Teknopark programs
Field Ready will:
Work with entrepreneurs during the program to train and encourage them
Coordinate with Syrian universities and Gaziantep University to help transfer knowledge and experience to students in Northern Syria
Help stimulate small-scale manufacturers’ adoption of Polyfloss technology and assist in building a market for Polyfloss machines and products
Assist entrepreneurs in Polyfloss product market development and design of manufacturing guidelines to maintain quality assurance and safety requirements
Partner with other NGOs to support entrepreneurs
Assist entrepreneurs focused on waste management to supply/source plastic pellets for Polyfloss production
Identify entrepreneurship opportunities for small manufacturers that provide components for Polyfloss products (for example, the tarpaulin providers for the ACTED project)
