Our mission is to help displaced people overcomes harsh winter conditions.

6.9 billions

tons of plastic hasn’t been recycled and is pilling up in all parts of the world.

89.3 million

of people are forcibly displaced  worldwide.

8 million

tons of plastic waste is generated in middle east  refugee camps annually.

less
than 10%

of the global plastic production is currently recycled.

Planned and improvised shelters lack long-term provisions for cold climate conditions.

Current approaches to winterization assistance relies heavily on distribution of blankets, stoves and fuel.  This increases the living costs of families, incurs health risks and negatively impacts their environment.

Waste for Warmth is dedicated to change shelter winterisation aid by enabling people to turn local plastic waste into solutions for warmth and security.
